To construct my wreath, I started with a simple wreath form purchased for a dollar.
Then using my glue gun, I attached the prickly fruit to the wreath form starting from the inside and working my way out.
Once completed, I attached a saw tooth hanger to the backside, again using my glue gun.
Here it is my friends!
I love the texture of the wreath.
I kept things simple to focus on the natural beauty of the Sweet Gum fruit.

Cute idea! I love how it turned out. Sweet gumballs remind me of childhood. I don't have any trees in my area now. :(

ReplyDeleteThis is so amazing! :) I never would have thought of that...I really need to start concentrating more on using things that are FREE :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great DIY craft idea and I think really fun for kids.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a child we made a lot of our decorations from plants, seed pods, leaves and just about any natural thing we could find in the woods around our house. We would paint the sweet gum pods and hang them on the tree as well as use them for wreaths. They are very pretty in silver and gold. Thank you for the nice reminder.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! You are so talented!
