I gave my front door a subtle makeover. I have to admit, the difference in color is barely noticeable.
But truthfully, I didn't love the old color. It was leftover paint from our bedroom. The color looks much darker on our walls, which I love.
So I selected a darker color, Down Pipe by Farrow & Ball(matched to Sherwin Williams paint).
I was in love after the first coat!
The color looks so good next to the bright white trim. Glidden, White on White is my favorite white paint to use in our house. It's clean and bright and the color is consistent in shade or sun.
A clean door mat, healthy plants and a few pumpkins give my porch a warm welcome.
I'm happy that I didn't have to spend a lot to give my house some curb appeal.
I'm absolutely happy with the new color. I love it even more every time I pull up to the house.
Brandi I like the darker color as well. And I love the white pumpkins. Great job!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Brandi. I've said it before and I stand by my opinion...you have an amazing eye and great taste! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the new color, goes well with the rug and your pretty Fall decor!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely perfect. I really like the new color and your plants & pumpkins.

ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing Brandi, gorgeous color!

DeletePS: I have trouble finding the "Post Comment Box" whenever I stop by...So, I decided to post my comment here..:-)
Very, very pretty Brandi! I have always heard the quickest face lift for a house is new door paint. Looks like you were very successful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! One day I'll put color on our front door... For now I'll enjoy yours! Very pretty Brandi!
ReplyDeleteSo love the new color!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! Very welcoming (: I would love to paint our front door, too. Maybe when temps get a little cooler...come on, Fall!
ReplyDeleteI love it! It's earthier than the previous color and looks great with the brick on the house. Well done! (I write this as I'm currently gaining courage to paint the inside of our front door. The white is so boring and I think a little color in the foyer would be fun!)
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! And the color goes so nicely with the brick color on your house... Really like it!
ReplyDeleteNice choice Brandi! And the best part about it is that you love it. That is most important. : )
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteBoth look good but I agree, I like this one better!
ReplyDeleteI like the colour ♥♥

Your porch looks amazing. Funny how a shade can make a difference
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I love how something as simple as a color change can make you smile every time you look at it. Paint really can work wonders. I keep thinking of painting my (tiny) porch ceiling light blue, but haven't yet. Maybe someday. :)
