I found a new area rug for our family room last week. The style and design are perfect. I really love the texture it adds to the space.
I love natural fiber rugs so much that I have them in most of the rooms in my house. They're really low maintenance and I love the way they look over our flooring.
I purchased the old rug at Ross for less than $40. It was a good one, it lasted for years. Then my daughter's friend accidentally smashed a red velvet brownie on it. I cleaned it as much as I could, but the stains were still there. There will be no more red velvet brownies in this room. Ever!
So a 6x9 rug for under $100 makes me really happy!
Link to rug can be found here.
I love natural fiber rugs also. I am in the process of shopping for one, but I need a really large one and don't want to pay what they sell for. I can wait a good while longer until I find one that fits the budget.
ReplyDeleteHi Brandi. I love natural fiber rugs too and the one you chose looks really great in your space. Have. GREAT day!
ReplyDeleteGreat room, great rug! You have such a God given talent for design! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteThat rug works perfectly in your family room and I love all the pictures from different movies... nice touch. Have a lovely day... :)
ReplyDeleteThe rug is perfect. I just really like that room. It's comfortable but pretty...guess I shouldn't say that with all the movie posters but it's fun!

ReplyDeleteGreat rug! What a nice space to curl up in and watch a movie.
ReplyDeleteI love the new rug and the black trim! I also love how inviting your family room is, but agree no more red velvet brownies in there, lol!
ReplyDeleteI agree, great texture and simple pattern and perfect size!
ReplyDeleteGreat rug . . . but then great room, too. I can just see your family enjoy a movie night together in there. Do I smell popcorn? LOL Brandi, you have a very special eye for decorating and turning your house into a warm and cozy home. Not to mention extremely stylish . . . a lot of people can not marry comfort and style together, but you do it with gusto :)
ReplyDeleteHere's wishing you a lovely week.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
Nice rug for a cozy room Janice

Cozy looking room there Brandi! Looks like a room I would be in all the time. : )
ReplyDeleteNever noticed the Rocky poster before! Love it! It's also my husband's favorite childhood movie : )
ReplyDeleteNice and cozy with the rug! Love all the blue woven throughout the room!
ReplyDeleteBrandi you have such an eye for design and you have quite the decorator's touch! I love this room! It's so cozy! We have leather couches in our family room and it feels kind of cold. I think the key is adding color to the room like you did with the coffee table, pillows, rug, curtains, etc. I was also just scrolling through your instagram feed and I couldn't help but feel so inspired by all of your posts. Keep up the great work Brandi! <3
ReplyDeleteYou have such a gorgeous living room!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful space and great rug choice! It's durable and will hold up well to foot traffic. xx
ReplyDeleteNoooo, not red velvet cupcake!! I love this rug, and the space looks amazing! It's nice to have spaces that everyone can just kick up there feet and enjoy.
