A Day at the Park

My family was in town last week to celebrate my aunt's 50th birthday.  Spending time with my family was a lot of fun!  Sunday afternoon we all meet up and spent the day at Stone Mountain Park.  We love spending time at the park.  It was a beautiful day to spend outdoors. 

Last summer we hiked up the trail.  This time we choose to ride the Summit Skylift to the top of the mountain.



It was beautiful.  We had a wonderful time walking and enjoying the fresh air.







It was a wonderful weekend.  Happy Birthday Aunt Robin!

    Happy Birthday to your Aunt! What a fun day! Your photos are beautiful. This is a very interesting park with that amazing 'Stone Mountain'. I really like the carving in the side of it. I enjoyed the tour! xx

    Lovely pictures I have not been to stone mountain but once and I have lived in Atlanta for more than 10 years.

    Brandi, I'm glad you & your family had a terrific time. Every time I visit Georgia during the summer I try to make it a point to visit Stone Mountain, especially watching the fire works at night. A great place to celebrate 50 years!

    Happy Belated Birthday wishes to your aunt. Sounds like you all had a great time. And it looks like you all are a pretty adventurous bunch. Hiking or taking a lift up that mountain would have been too much for me, but what a great view!
