The easiest way I've come across to extract the juice was by using my citrus juicer. This works, but the process can be messy!
Mixed with fresh squeezed orange juice and you have the perfect morning cocktail, without the alcohol -of course!
Ingredients
juice from one pomegranate
juice from 2 freshly squeezed oranges
Directions
Use a citrus juicer to extract the juice from both fruits. Pour into a tall glass and stir to combine. Add ice and enjoy!
Hi Brandy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by "the mansion", now that you've seen the place you'll understand that I would totally add alcohol to your juice! :) It looks delicious. I'm now following you

Brandy, it looks so refreshing. I love pomegranate. It's like eating sun flower seeds. Lol
ReplyDeleteRefreshing, healthy, and easy to make...my kinda recipe. As soon as I get settled, I'm trying this for sure.
ReplyDeleteI just love that first photo!
ReplyDeletem.
Hmm I have never tried pomegranate by itself only when its added to juices. I may have to go ahead and try it.
ReplyDeleteYou just can't beat fresh juice! I have never worked with a pomegranate to extract the juice, but I imagine it would be messy like you say! SO good, though!!!
ReplyDeleteMMMM. That does sound good! I will have to try that. My kids are always wanting pomegranates but then they never eat all of it. I will have to juice the leftovers!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah...what a delicious way to start the day :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious and who knew you could juice the pomegranite like an orange? So easy and healthy! xx

ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy. Will have to extract pom juice with a citrus juicer. That's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks good. I usually buy bottled juice. Last year I tried to extract the seeds from a pomegranate for a dessert that I was making...oh, what a mess...lol :)
ReplyDeletei havent mixed pomegranate with orange juice. great idea!
ReplyDeleteYum, that combo sounds fabulous! Thanks for sharing at The Fun In Functional!
ReplyDeleteHello Brandi,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so refreshing! Pomegranates are one of my favorite fruits and yes very messy! lol I plan on getting a suckling from my mil's tree this fall! Has to be this year since she maybe moving out of state in December!
I've found it easier to juice them by taking off the peeling and separating all of the seeds first. And yes this is tedious, but then I can just throw them into my juicer. Thanks for sharing. : )

Never have I wished I had a juicer more than right now! It's still worth doing the old fashioned messy way though, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so good and refreshing. Nice idea Brandi!

Boy, this looks just fantastic, Brandi. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteJust looking at your pics made me thirsty! New follower!
ReplyDeleteI used to work with someone who said that as a child, they all would roll pomegranates (you know, really press into them while you do it) to break the seeds inside and release the juice. They then stuck a straw into the fruit and drank the juice. I've never tried it myself.....
ReplyDeleteSounds great! Thanks for sharing on Foodie Friends Friday!
