Confetti Painted Glasses

I was inspired by this pin on Pinterest to try my hand at painting glass.  Jennifer's glasses were inspired by Zandi at Radical Possibility who, in turn, was inspired by Anthropologie.

I was unable to find stemless wineglasses, so I used these tall glasses instead(purchased at Dollar Tree).

I used regular acrylic paint and the bottom of a paintbrush and pencil to create my dots.

To "cure" the glasses, I followed Jennifer's instructions and put the glasses in a cold oven.  I set the temperature to 350 degrees and baked them for 30 minutes.  After 30 minutes passed, I turned the oven off and allowed the glasses to cool completely before removing them.






The tutorial states that the glasses are dishwasher safe.  But I played it safe and hand-washed them to avoid any chipping.  

I really like the way they turned out.  These would make great, inexpensive gifts too.

    OMG! Mine is in the oven right now! What a great idea Brandi. I pulled out all of my little acrylics, found a plain glass in the back of the cupboard and just jumped in there. I only made one as I am ye of little confidence in my artistic abilities and I am loving this and will definitely make more. Thanks so much!

    I never knew you could use plain old acrylic! I thought you had to get that stupid expensive glass paint. thanks for sharing. They turned out great. Now I have yet another amazingly cute project on my to do list.

    love them! I guess it should be simple logic- but just to verify... you put them in the oven while it was cold....turned it on 350... turned it off after 30 minutes and let them cool before removal?
    or did you start timing when the oven reached 350? thanks! :)

    I just put mine the oven - here's hoping they don't explode! :)

    I found my stemless wine glasses in the Target Dollar Spot and I used Q-Tips to make my circles! :)
