Decorative hardware is a great way to add a quick updated look to your garage door. After reading this post on 320 Sycamore, I decided to freshen up the appearance of our garage door as well.
Before pictures of the garage door in the fall
...around the holidays
and a full view of the front of the house.
Garage door with new hardware.
I purchased the hardware from Ebay for under $30.
*Be sure the handles don't stick too far out to prevent the garage door from opening and closing. I forgot to check before adding the handles and I literally held my breath hoping I didn't jam the the garage door opener. My husband would have loved that one!!

Looks great! I have been wanting to do that to mine for a while, but didn't know where to get it. Thanks for the information. I will be doing mine real soon. I didn't realize it was so cheap too!
ReplyDeleteBrandi, these really make a big difference. Sometimes little things that most of us overlook, can upscale things we already have!
ReplyDeleteGreat new look. Thanks for the tip and for sharing at TUTORIALS TIPS AND TIDBITS!
The hardware does make a big difference. Small addition but makes a big statement.
ReplyDeleteNice home Brandi. Looks like you and your fam shouldn't have any problems located the handles now. Lol. The first thing which came to mind upon seeing the post was slamming my finger in my garage door one night after the dog got loose (I put him in the garage).
ReplyDeleteTalk about painful. Lol. I was in tears and it took my finger a couple weeks to reduce swelling and almost 5 months to re-grow my finger nail.
I love your garage hardware addition so much! I'm featuring you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteXO, Aimee
