A few weeks ago I picked up some brass candlesticks at a thrift store to use with my holiday decorations. Only problem was, every candle I tried was smaller than the base causing the candles to lean.
Fast forward to recent trip to Hobby Lobby where I came across this great product for only $1.99. Candle fitters are made of wax and will mold to easily fit any candle.
Problem solved, no more lean!
Awesome, Brandi! I'll have to look for those!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I brought out my candleholders I received as a wedding present 3 years ago for the first time this Thanksgiving and I kept getting annoyed at them falling. I had no idea this existed. Thank you!
ReplyDeletei do not even know that a product like that exists! well of course until i read your post, lol! thanks brandi!

You are very wise Grasshopper LOL. I That's a great product. Those leaning candles can be annoying and dangerous. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have had the leaning tower of candles before and its annoying trying to get them straight. I will try to find this next time I'm out.
ReplyDeleteI really needed to know this! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! This is awesome. Just the other night I took out our advent wreath, and the new candles lean - drives me nuts! Now I can fix it, and better yet, for CHEAP!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt beats the heck out of what I do. I usually drip wax into the holder then press the candle into the warm wax. Only problem was that the wax sometimes cools too fast and you have to keep doing it!

Great tip Brandi! I love that stuff! I've also used Sticky Tack that you can find with the office supplies. They both work about the same.

This is a product I had not yet seen! MUCH better than that wax that looks like Vaseline that doesn't really work anyway!!! Great tip!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great invention! I used to wrap pieces of paper around my candle bases...but that's not so smart when you actually burn them :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great product! I didn't even know this exists, I've had this issue with my candles forever! Thanks for sharing, Brandi! I hope you're enjoying a lovely Sunday!

Thank you for this advice. I have a Christmas candle set that I can never stop from leaning!
ReplyDeleteWow! They work great!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Just what I need, but where to find that wax? I'm going to search!
ReplyDeleteHow funny :)
ReplyDeleteI have the *opposite* problem. I find that today's candles are usually too thick at the bottoms for vintage candlesticks and holders, and I end up having to carve the bottoms to fit!

did not know such a thing existed, lol. good to know! happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteI could've really, really used this advice back in the days. Lol. We'd purchase candles and within days they'd all assume the leaning position. Finally, we decided to buy the thicker candles instead.
