Decorating for the holidays can be expensive, if we allow it to be. I am determined to decorate my home for the holidays on a budget.
While grocery shopping, I came across an inexpensive package of fresh thyme. Although my husband would have preferred that I used it in this recipe, I had other plans!
I simply took each sprig of thyme and stuck them into the grooves of the wreath form until I was pleased with the look.
Thyme is such a fragrant herb. It adds a nice scent to my kitchen and the sprigs can be clipped off to use in cooking as the wreath dries out.
I love the simplicity of the wreath. I displayed it above a shelf in my kitchen along with some greenery and pine cones from the yard. The berry garland was purchased last year after the holiday on sale.
Decorating with natural elements is a simple and inexpensive way to brighten your home for the holidays.
*Thank you so much to, Donna @ Funky Junk Interiors for featuring my wreath on her Facebook page. I would also like to thank, Becky @ Beyond The Picket Fence for featuring my wreath as well!

I added a few dried oranges for their nice citrus scent.
I added a couple of candle holders from another room to complete the display.
I love candle light! The soft glow warms the room.

Just lovely Brandi!!!2.99 for that Rosemary was a great price!!
ReplyDeleteYou're such a fabulous decorator with the greatest ideas out there. I'm very jealous of your skills. The only thing that gets me by is to imagine that you're probably a horrible mother. Then I feel better about myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

ReplyDeleteBrandi, this is so lovely, I love the smell of thyme and I can only imagine the fragrance from your dried fruit...you did a beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteThat is simply gorgeous, Brandi! I know it must smell incredible. You got a great deal on that thyme. Did you get it at that cool Farmer's Market that has absolutely everything?
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is making me hungry. It probably doesn't help that I clicked on the recipe link for the roast chicken. Now if you'd used dried lemon slices instead of the oranges I'd be knocking on your door and then eating your decorations.
ReplyDeleteIt's all beautiful, Brandi!
Hope they sell rosemary also here in my country so that we can make a wreath for this coming holiday.

What a great idea to use herbs in a wreath. It not only looks good, but the scent would be lovely and it can be put onto the garden when you've finished with it. Great idea!!!
