I was growing tired of digging through my jewelry box only to find my earrings all tangled together. I've seen many creative ways to display earrings using burlap, so I decided to create my own. I purchased a wood frame from the dollar store and wrapped it in twine. I cut a piece of burlap the size of my frame and stapled it to the back with my staple gun. Yes, it was really that simple!!!

For my flower, I cut squares from a polyester napkin not being used.
Then very carefully melted the edges, per Emily's instructions.
I will no longer hide my jewelry in a box!!

I'm exactly the same with my earrings. I have to scrabble around in the bag I currently keep them in to find even one good earring!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great solution! I'm just trying to think through where I could put one!!
I REALLY like that flower. Gorgeous!

Hi Brandi, that is a really good idea and it looks fantastic. Your earrings are too pretty to be hidden away in a box. Love the flower detail too.
ReplyDeleteThat's IT! I'm doing this tomorrow! I have frames lined up and waiting...I just needed someone to give me the push. Thank you, Brandi! It's too cute!
ReplyDeleteI can not get over how cute the twine around the frame is! And I am loving the flower...totally curious to read more about melting the edges?! :-) Thanks for the tip the other day on republishing posts, and thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, love it! I'm blog hopping today and I found your lovely Blog. Following you now. Wishing you happiness, Katherine
ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful! I love this idea!!
ReplyDeleteNice job Brandi. I like how you added the flower and also left the corners uncovered! My jewelry used to be piled up in a bowl, now I use a cup holders for my rings and found other ways to hang earrings and necklaces.
ReplyDeleteI like the mix of the texture with your earrings, all of which have kind of an ethnic type of vibe to them. I'd display it too, it's way to pretty to keep tucked away.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea and it looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I've made couple, but they weren't good for earrings. Burlap is the perfect solution.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
