Mondays are my favorite day of the week to shop for a few reasons. My favorite stores are usually less crowded on Monday versus shopping on the weekends. My kids are back in school, which means I have all morning and most of the afternoon to shop in peace. I can take my time and browse the aisles without my listening to my children whine about how long I'm taking. But most of all, all items are 1/2 off at my favorite thrift store. I have a hard time containing my excitement as I walk in the store. Oh the possibilities...
This week I didn't come home with much, but I'm very pleased with my purchases.
I've been searching for a lamp for my bedroom. I found this beauty for 1/2 off of $9.99! It's really heavy. I'm assuming that means it's of good quality! I plan to spray paint it silver or white and add a lampshade in the future.

Great finds, the lamp is going to look beautiful! It has great shape to it! I agree with you, Mondays are so nice to shop! I only have a few hours in the morning while my youngest is at school but I make pretty good time! :)

ReplyDeleteWednesday mornings are my favorite day because Home Goods gets it's large shipment every Tuesday so by Wednesday all the new merchandise is on the shelves. I can't wait to see what you do with the lamps.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I think the lamp will be stunning after you paint it. It looks solid and has a nice shape. I recently painted a brass lamp in brushed nickel. It worked really well! Can't wait to see your bedroom reveal.

That's a really nice lamp,it will look great painted.Well Brandi any day is my favorite day to shop.lol, I hit the goodwill at least once a week.I saw some gorgeous lamps a couple of days ago kicking myself for not buying them. I went back and they were gone (BOO HOO). There is a habitat restore about 40 miles from me,I haven't been there yet but thy are on my list.

Oooh wonderful thrift finds!! I really like the white bowl with handles. Beautiful!! I shop with a 3 year old during the week but the stores are way less crowded then.

ReplyDeleteBrandi, you already know I like your find. I'm hooked on lamps, waiting now for 1/2 off Friday because (shame on me) I kinda sorta hid a lamp. I replaced it on the shelf of lamps way way in the back :) I just couldn't bring my self to pay $12. If it's gone I'll be kicking my own behind!

ReplyDeleteAs far as shopping goes, I don't really have a favorite day. My younger 4 kids are home with me every day (I homeschool) so I guess it would be any day that I could go shopping by myself :-)
