Caramel Frappuccino

  I love Starbucks, but I don't enjoy their prices.  I'm addicted to their Frappucinos, but I'm spending way too much to satisfy my cravings.  So I found a way to make my own.  This recipe is delicious and easy!  The great thing about making a Frappuccino at home is that you can control the ingredients.  Tweak to your liking!

* 1/2 cup cold coffee

* 3 tablespoons sugar

* 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk (you can substitute this for whole milk or half and half)

* 2 cups ice

* 3 tablespoons caramel sundae syrup

* whipped cream

1. Combine all ingredients into electric blender.

2. Blend drink until ice is crushed and drink is smooth.

3. Serve with whipped cream and caramel syrup.

  1. Sound delicious! I'd love to try a sugar free version.I'm on a lo carb gluten free diet so no sugar.Luckily I've been doing it for a while and have gotten pretty good at substitutions.

  2. Dear Brandi,

    thank you so much for the link - I didn't know the page. If you know more, please tell me;)

    Do you know "Dulce de Leche"? It's a caramelcreme and you can use it for cappuccino, for bread, for baking, for cupcakes, ....... hmmmmm - so delicious.

    You can do it yourself: http://uruguay-az.blogspot.com/2010/08/licor-dulce-de-leche.html

    The best wednesday of this week for you!! ;)

  3. Oh I am like you, so ADDICTED!! Mine is the Chai Tea Lattes! I think I should own the place by now :) I have tried to make them at home and while they are still good they are not as yummy as theirs :( I am glad that you found a recipe and it looks really good!!

  11. Love this! Would like to invite you over to Fat Camp Friday @ Mangoes and Chutney. The linky is up all weekend and one blogger from the linky party is featured every Wednesday. http://www.mangoesandchutney.com/2011/01/fat-camp-friday-10-blackened-tilapia.html

  12. I love Starbucks too but I can never seem to get my Frappucinos just right. The Java Chip is my favorite and this recipe looks like it might help me in the right direction. Thanks for sharing with Fat Camp Fridays, hope to see you back next week with another great recipe! http://mangoesandchutney.com

  13. Thanks you so much for linking up Brandi!

  14. I'm not a fan of Starbuck's over roasted beans but the Frappachino looks like a tempting summer treat. I'm going to try this with my own nicely roasted coffee.

  15. Yumm-y!! Love me some caramel :)
