It's week 5 of the One Room Challenge. That means it's officially crunch time!
Last week I mentioned painting the headboard. My sprayer hasn't shipped yet, but hopefully I'll receive by next week.
In the meantime, I've been working on finishing the closet doors. Although I don't plan on turning them into a chalkboard, I love the finish of chalkboard paint. It adds the perfect amount of contrast to the wall color.
The closet doors took many coats to get even coverage and I kept running out of paint. I have one door left to finish then I'll be through.

Our guest room is on the small side, but I felt we needed a bedside table. Now our guests will have a place to charge their cellphone or a spot to hold a glass of water before bed.
And since there's no drawer, I'm adding a basket to store extra blankets.
I still have some work to do. I'm hoping by next week the headboard will be painted, so I can hang the art above the bed.
Be sure to stop by Calling It Home to see all of the other spaces in the One Room Challenge!

It is looking great Brandi. I love the sheen of chalkboard paint, and if a young guests doodles, the better ;-) I have no doubt the room will be stunning. I so adore your style.
