Hello friends, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I spent the holidays visiting with family and friends in New Jersey. It was an enjoyable trip with my daughter.
While visiting N.J. we took the train to N.Y.C. I made a promise to my daughter for her 18th birthday we could explore New York. My sister, niece and cousin tagged along making the entire experience even more memorable!
We visited on December 26th, so all the Christmas decorations were still up. The streets were crowded, but there was so much to see. N.Y.C. is seriously so beautiful at Christmas time.

I've been admiring H&M's home furnishings for months, online. I was so excited to visit their flagship store. The entire fourth floor is dedicated to their home collection. Lots of beautiful home decor ideas. It's easy to stay within budget with their affordable prices.
Me!
Thank you N.Y.C. for such a great time!
Love seeing NY through your eyes, Brandi! Wow! I've never seen H&M's home store either. I would go crazy - the prices seem unreal for some of those items like that glass dome for $5! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know H&M had a home line!! I have to check that out for sure! You covered a lot of ground in NYC...looks like you hit all the big spots! I bet it was a great day...and exhausting! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Brandi!! I've always wanted to visit NYC! I can't wait to cross that off of my bucket list someday :)

Looks like you had a lot of fun Brandi on your mother daughter trip! I've never been to NY but that's one place my husband wants to visit, so one day I guess. Love the black and white snapshots of the crowds.
ReplyDeleteOh my that looks like fun! Your photos are amazing and let me say that you have beautiful girls in your family! I would love to visit that store....the prices look great.
ReplyDeleteI love love love New York. I don't go in the winter...my bones can't take the cold but I do love going during the summer. It's so busy there but I love it. Happy New Year to you
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun trip! Your photos are gorgeous, and H&M Home?! How did I miss this when I was in NYC in the fall?! I'm kicking myself because it looks incredible. I think that means I'll have to take another trip for a little "research." :) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love NYC at Christmas! It is my favorite time to visit. I would have to add an extra suitcase just for all of the fun things at H&M Home -- I hope that all of the stores start carrying it soon.
ReplyDeleteLooked like a WONDERFUL time! Thanks for sharing!!! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun trip and those are really great pics. Spending time with my family is one of my favorite ways to unwind, too. Add in shopping and it's even more fun... :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of the pictures Brandi!
ReplyDeleteNYC used to be my weekend get-away when I lived in New Jersey.
I still love it to this day! So much to see and do in that wonderful city.
Happy New Year to you!
Audrey
Love your pics Brandi! I enjoyed the snapshots on IG too. Looked like a very fun trip! It's also nice to "meet" your sister and cousin:-). Your daughter's smile is just magical. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteWell, first of all, you have a beautiful family! So neat that you got to spend the holidays with them! I'm so jealous you got to visit an H&M with a home collection!!! I would have gone wild in there with those great prices! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Brandi, What an exciting adventure. That is probably the closest I'll ever get to the Big Apple. Up until about two years ago our small town consisted of a WalMart and a few tidy shops downtown and downtown is three blocks long, LOL. I can not imagine the amazing shopping in New York City and the choices. Then there is the other side to it, The Crowds, I think that might have stressed me out and spoiled my visit. I would be afraid of getting separated from my daughter and family . . . I can not believe how many people there were on the sidewalks. Wow! It was a very interesting post. Oh, I loved the big smile on your daughter's face, it was easy to see that she was enjoying every minute of it :)
ReplyDeleteI am celebrating my three year blogging birthday with three Give-A-Ways, please come over and get in on the fun.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Glad you had a wonderful visit! I love NYC but have never been there at Christmas. Going to have to do that at some point, but no idea when. For looking ( can't afford things there) I love the little design houses in Nolita and all the fun little stores (and restaurants) in Greenwich and the uber hip Chelsea. That being said, the crowds drive me crazy but I have to have a little personal air space around me.
ReplyDeleteI love H&M home! I stopped there this past Summer and bought the gray and white floral bedding for my daughter it looked like a Schumacher pattern! I just started a cleans so seeing that pizza makes me drool!! I Love NY!
ReplyDeleteYou were in the fashion district and on 42nd street. You definitely went to the cool spots. And I love H&M in the city which is why I'm always there lol. Wonderful photos.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous trip! I would love to go back and visit soon, as it has been years!! I need to check out H&Ms home selection.
ReplyDeleteThe pics look awesome but big cities so intimidate me since I live in a very small one. TFS Janice
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Brandi! Oh my what a wonderful time to be in NYC! As a former New Yorker, I must tell you, I wasn't aware H & M had a home decor floor. I bet you did a bit of shopping while you were there, lol...

ReplyDeleteBlessings and Hugs
Thanks for taking us along on a fun family outing!
ReplyDeleteBrandi, Enjoyed seeing NYC through your eyes. Don't know where I've been but I totally missed that H&M had a home section. It looks amazing. I'm going to check them out online and will definitely put them on my to see list on my next trip to NYC. I'm sure your daughter enjoyed her trip.
ReplyDeleteSounds like such a fun trip!! I have been wanting to purchase something fro H&M's home line, but I don't have a store that sells the home goods locally, and I am weary of purchasing online. I am really hoping our local H&M starts to carry the home line soon!

ReplyDeleteI love your pictures. I actually went with my sisters & daughter too in December (for her 8th birthday) I really enjoyed it, eventhough it was crazy packed. We saw Kimora Lee (she was all Heeeey!). We also saw the tree@Rockefeller, the light show, American Girl, and some other little kiddo stuff. It was a great time, I'd really like to make it an annual tradition. I can't wait to check out H&M Home!! The pics and the prices are calling, thanks for the reminder, I know what I'm doing tonight :)

I absolutely love your photos. I have been to New York but it has been decades. Thank you so much for sharing, I really enjoyed this tour.
ReplyDeleteDear Brandi,
ReplyDeleteYour photos took me to walk beside you. Sure it was all very good and fun. As for H&M really is a fantastic store. You did very well to photograph the price. I noticed before and after with the discount. You know what? Living in Brazil, especially in Rio de Janeiro, is to a billionaire or an ET!
Happy New 2015!
Greetings!
Wow, all of that looked so fun! I would love to take my daughter to NYC and do that same thing some day!
ReplyDeleteHow cool. Looks like a fun day in the city.

Too bad I don't have a home to decorate :p!
