This skirt belonged to my daughter. She's outgrown it. I can still picture her wearing it. She's 14 now. She wore this skirt a lot when she was 10. I had it in a bag amongst other clothing ready to donate, but I had a hard time giving it away. I decided to hold on to it and turn it into a pillow for her bed.
I love the pleated ruffle!
*Thanks so much to ReFab Diaries for featuring this pillow.
Brandi, you really are queens of cushions - or pillows, as you say over there! Have you used bigger-sized photos in this post? I like the photos a lot - the colours have come out beautifully.

What a great idea, it came with a ready made ruffle. It turned out so pretty. I'll be she loves it.
ReplyDeleteI do make pillows, but the one you asked about on my blog was purchased at Target. I saw some this week when I was there too, but they aren't on sale anymore. I might go get another one, if they still have them available at their after Christmas sales.
Blessings,
Marcia
Great idea. I love seeing ideas for reusing clothes.

Very cute. I love the ruffle as well! It's a great way to repurpose a fun fabric and some memories. I'd love for you to share at my weekly link party! http://alittleknickknack.blogspot.com/2010/12/everything-but-kitchen-sink_16.html
ReplyDeletethe ruffle is wonderful! I love to make things out of the outgrown items...you wouldn't be able to buy the material for the projects for that low bargain price of FREE and you get the memory carrying on as well!

Mulled wine is red wine with lots of mulled spices - and it's HEAVENLY!! I mix it half and hlaf with orange juice so I don't get too tiddly!!
Mince pies are little pies filled with chopped dried fruit, distilled spirits and spices. Sounds a bit odd written down but they are one of my favourite Christmas foods!
What are your favourite things to eat at Christmas time?
By the way, Brandi, congratualtions on being featured the other day. I think it was at the CSI project, is that right? You're so clever with the things that you make.
Merry Christmas, my lovely,
Sarahx
